German Field Marshal who earned the sobriquet “The Desert Fox” for his tactical genius as Commander of the Afrika Korps. In 1944 he was implicated in a plot to assassinate Hitler; given the choice of suicide or a trial, he ended his own life with poison. War-dated DS, in German, signed “Rommel,” one page both sides, 8.25 x 12, November 23, 1938. War-dated eleven article daily order, issued by Rommel.
