Signed in ballpoint on the second page, “Paul McCartney, Squire” McCartney paid the entry fee and purchased a bottle of wine for a total bill of £6.0.6. According to the published chronology The Beatles Day by Day, McCartney first met his future wife and collaborator, Linda Eastman, on May 15. Less than two weeks later, the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper album was released. In fine condition, with expected stamps and notations, file and staple holes, and a few very faint and subtle spots, no faults affecting the clear signature.
