Statesman hits Baltimore

Statesman and lawyer who, among other accomplishments, was a three-time Democratic presidential candidate, served as Wilson’s Secretary of State, and participated in the celebrated Scopes “Monkey Trial” of 1925. ALS signed “Bryan,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Hotel Lafayette letterhead, no date. Letter to Sloan Gordon. In full, “Do not know when I shall be in Baltimore but expect to be here by Monday 19 & Tuesday 20. Can I see you for a moment on Tuesday if you are here. Mrs. Bryan is improving.” Double matted and framed with the original mailing envelope, addressed in Bryan’s hand, a small biography and a small photo of Bryan, to an overall size of 21.25 x 16.5. In fine condition, with expected mailing folds and some scattered light soiling from writing medium. R&R COA.
