One of Japan’s most skilled fliers, Fuchida commanded the air attack against Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and was the last to leave the battle area. After World War II, Fuchida converted to Christianity and became a nondenominational preacher, traveling frequently to America and later becoming a U.S. citizen. Evangelical pamphlet titled “From Pearl Harbor to Cavalry,” 5/5 x 8.5, signed and inscribed on the cover in blue ink, “To Mr. Ernest Schwartz with my best Aloha, Capt. Mitsuo Fuchida, Luke 23:34,” Fuchida also signing in Japanese characters. In fine condition, with faint folds and a small, unobtrusive spot of skinning to background. R&R COA.
