Document, written in Ellsworth’s hand, ordering the treasurer to pay “Joseph Barney late a soldier in the Connecticut troops Three pounds seventeen shillings for expense of his returning sick from camp…and charge the Colony.” In fine condition, with light folds and slight show-through from docketing on reverse.
