Description

Greatest Hits of the ’80s: Reagan presidential ALS referencing breakdancing, the National Enquirer, and drugs

ALS as president, signed “Ron,” one page on an engraved ivory 5.75 x 4 White House note card, no date [envelope postmarked January 9, 1985]. Reagan writes to Dolores M. Ballachino in Boston, New York: In full: “Dear Dolores: Just a line to say I’m happy you are feeling better & to put your mind at ease. Break Dancing??? I get sore muscles just watching it on TV. I don’t think the Nat. Enquirer deals in anything but moon dust. Who ever dreamed that one up has to be ‘on’ something. Regards to Paul.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. One of the most unusual Reagan letters we’ve ever encountered! In very fine, clean condition, with a few very subtle, nearly imperceptible brushes to text. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
