Vintage matte-finish 3 x 4.25 photo, signed and inscribed in ink, “Herrn Fred Hermann, Albert Einstein 1935.” In this year, Einstein, then at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, became a permanent resident of the United States; five years later, he was granted American citizenship. In very good condition, with mild toning, trimming and light wear to edges, slight irregularity to emulsion, and moderate contrast to signature due to the background.
