In full: “Accept my thanks for your esteemed favor of the 11th, and your invitation to attend the Regatta. My engagements prevent me from being present, and Compel me to send Compliments and Regrets.” In fine condition, with letter mounted to same-sized card, and scattered toning and soiling, and faint staining from adhesive.
