Bank check, 7 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Grant, payable to W. B. Moses for $189.25, February 1, 1866. Moses was a manufacturer and retailer of furniture in Washington, D.C. In fine, fresh condition, with clean cut cancellation just touching upstroke of first letter of signature, usual bank and revenue stamps (away from signature), light vertical fold, two slightly irregular edges from original perforation, and a touch of subtle toning.
