British Field Marshal (1861–1936) who led the Egyptian Expeditionary force in Palestine and Syria during World War I. ALS signed “Allenby,” one page, 6.25 x 8, personal letterhead, March 2, 1932. Allenby writes to the author Norman Bentwich. In full: “Very many thanks for the copy of your book—England in Palestine”—just received, on my return from abroad. I shall read it with great interest.” In very good condition, with usual mailing fold, a few small edge tears, scattered soiling, and evident toning to bottom half. R&R COA.
