Truly exceptional original 7.5 x 9.5 photo on a 10.5 x 12.5 photographer’s mount, a splendid full-length image of Roosevelt mounted on a horse and wearing his “Rough Rider” uniform, signed in ink on the mount, “Theodore Roosevelt.” The reverse of the mount bears the ink stamp of photographer N. Lazarnick, New York. Framed in its original frame, to an overall size of 11.75 x 14. Signed photos of Roosevelt as a “Rough Rider” are far more uncommon than those as President. The rarity, size, perfect signature, outstanding condition, and undeniable visual appeal of the present example make this, we believe, one of finest signed Roosevelt photos in existence.
