Original signed pencil sketch of a well dressed couple, the man’s foot caught on the end of the woman’s flowing gown on an off-white 11 x 9 sheet of heavy stock paper. Docketed on the reverse “Drawn for Mrs. S. Bourne by Th. Nast / No. 88. On the trail of a deer / Please Preserve / For Sidney H. Bourne from Mamma.” In very good condition, with scattered light soiling and moderate foxing, light moisture stain on the right edge, a repaired tear in the lower left not touching the drawing.
