Irish writer and leader of the Aesthetic Movement, author of The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Happy Prince, etc., whose career and health were shattered by his imprisonment on charges of sodomy. Ink signature, “Oscar Wilde,” on an off-white slip. Matted and framed with an engraved portrait of Wilde, to an overall size of 10 x 12.25. In fine condition, with some light toning and soiling and a vertical crease between first and last names. R&R COA.
