Commencement program signed the year he won the Nobel Peace Prize, the centerpiece of an impressive King display

Program, approximately 5.75 x 9.5, for the seventy-eighth Commencement of Springfield College, in Springfield, Massachusetts on June 14, 1964. Nicely signed across the front in blue ballpoint by King. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, who was a member of the graduating class that day, and met King and his wife Coretta at a reception after the commencement. Program is impressively double matted and framed with an FDC, bearing a cachet honoring King and signed by Coretta Scott King and Martin Luther King III, an unsigned commemorative cover honoring his Nobel Peace Prize, four unsigned photos, a commemorative medallion and a biographical plaque, to an overall size of 32.5 x 37.5.
