Declaration of Independence signer and Continental Congress delegate from Connecticut. ALS signed “Wm. Williams,” one page, 6.25 x 7.5, September 6, 1784. Letter to John Fitch concerning a purchase of lumber and supplies. In part, “The articles I agreed with you for…750 feet of Clapboards…I proposed, but I am not certain they are yr best. 299 Sqrs 6 by 8 glass…I send also another box to put some Spanish Brown in at Mr. Grays, please to direct yr Caster to his shop…Be so kind as to give him all yr Dispatch in your power as I want him at home much.” In fine condition, with a few small pinholes of paper loss, light toning and expected folds.
