Russian composer (1855–1914) best known for a small but memorable body of colorful orchestral tone poems. AMQS signed “An. Liadov,” eleven measures of a work identified in Russian on a 12.75 x 7 gray card, December 14, 1913. Affixed to the left of the quote is a vintage 3.25 x 5.25 postcard photo of a seated Liadov, also signed in fountain pen.
