Vintage fountain pen signature, “The Good Wishes of Herbert Hoover,” on a light blue 5.5 x 3.5 sheet of Waldorf-Astoria stationery; and an ALS, “Lou Henry Hoover,” 5 x 6.75, two pages on two adjoining sheets, dated December 7, 1916. Mrs. Hoover writes, “My husband and I much hope that you will be able to dine with us on Sunday, December 24th at 8 o’clock.” In very good condition, with bisecting mailing folds, scattered light toning and a stamp and office notation to letter.
