Best remembered and most recognized as an icon of the silent film era, often associated with his popular "Little Tramp" character presented here. Marvelous oversized matte-finish 16 x 20 reproduction of a Hartsook portrait of The Tramp, looking rather melancholically desolate, signed and inscribed in his elder years with a modern-day flair pen, “For Daria, Hello! Charlie Chaplin.” In very good condition, with several small areas of damage (nicks, dings, bits of surface loss) to the image which can be professionally repaired, small circular area of discoloration above the inscription. The clarity of the image is most impressive. One can see the frayed edges of the patch beneath his knee, a small hole at the toe of this shoe and almost stroke the fabric of his outfit with the eyes.
