TLS as president, one page, 7 x 9, The White House, Washington letterhead, April 10, 1952. A letter to Major General Beau, Commanding Officer of the Civil Air Patrol in Washington, D.C. In part: “I appreciated very much your letter of the eighth, enclosing an invitation to the dinner of the Civil Air Patrol on May 14th…I’ve discussed the matter with General Landry and have directed him to keep me reminded of the possibility of attending. I can’t make a firm commitment because I don’t know what may come up in the meantime, but I’ll come if I can.” In fine condition, with small area of trivial soiling, pencil notation in appear right corner.
