In a career move that remains unique in the annals of classical music, Paderewski served for a year (1919) as Prime Minister of Poland before resuming an ultra-successful career as a concert artist. Handsome vintage matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 chest-length postcard photo of a young Paderewsi with his famously luxuriant hair in a characteristic tousle, signed in fountain pen, “I. J. Paderewski,” the pianist adding a three-measure quotation from his Minuet in G.
