Howard, Best wishes, Nelson Eddy, Salt Lake, 1-24-37”; “Yours truly, Al Jolson, Salt Lake, April 26, 1924”; “All my good wishes! Erich von Stroheim” (collector’s typed notations indicate the signature was obtained in Hollywood, Sept. 7, 1943; “To Mr. Howard in Salt Lake City, Oct. 28, 1942, ‘We thought if we could bring that same peace to other lonely old men, we would!’ Abby Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace via Josephine Hull”; and “Sincerely, E[mil] Jannings (collector’s notations indicate signature was obtained in Los Angeles on May 14, 1927).
