Lot of four signed items includes: a TLS on White House stationery, dated May 26, 1945, from Harry Truman thanking a Mr. Geist for birthday wishes; a TLS on White House stationery from Bess Truman thanking the same man for his “generous tribute” regarding the signing of the Trumans’ daughter, Margaret; a Bess Truman TLS, dated November 23, 1948, which reads, in part: “You were very thoughtful to have sent your congratulations to us on the President’s Election. I hope that you will accept my warm thanks…” from Bess Truman expressing thanks for a congratulatory note on Truman’s election in 1948; and an ALS from Mrs. Truman, on her personal 219 North Delaware, Independence, Missouri stationery. Accompanied by the White House mailing envelope for President Truman’s TLS. In overall fine condition, with some toning and a bit of trivial soiling to the May 26 letter. R&R COA.
