Description

Lot of three items. TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.25, personal letterhead, May 13, 1991. A letter to Senator Moynihan. In part: “After learning of the Bennett-Johnston Bill, I volunteered to help the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Alaska Coalition…We are working to mobilize the public to the tragic ecological consequences of trading our last great wilderness for a 200-day supply of oil. This is not just about wilderness and wildlife. The threat of global warming, ozone depletion, oil spills and air pollution stems directly from the development and consumption of oil and fossil fuels. Time is running out. I trust you will make a stand and enact an energy policy that preserves the Arctic while providing some sensible options for conservation…A great many of us will thank you for it.”; Roy Hobbs prop baseball card from The Natural, 2.5 x 3.25, featuring Hobbs in his Knights uniform; and a glossy 8 x 10 photo of Redford from The Natural, signed in-person in blue felt tip. In fine condition, with staple hole to upper left, a few office notations in the upper right corner, a faint vertical stamp in the left margin. R&R COA.
