Included: Josef Hofmann, penning and signing the first few notes of Chromaticon, and inscribing “To Arthur Howard, Compliments of Josef Hofmann, Febr. 20, 1938, Salt Lake City,”; Josef Hofmann again, penning and signing an unidentified piece, with the inscription “To Mr. Arthur L. Howard with compliments of Josef Hofmann, Salt Lake city, Jan. 29, 1930”; “For Dr. A. Howard, Very cordially, Jose Iturbi, Salt Lake City, 1935, 15 Dec”; Vladimir Horowitz (inscribed to Arthur Howard, adding, “Salt Lake City, 19/II 31”; and two inscribed pages from Gregor Piatigorsky, one dated Dec. 15, 1929 and another dated Dec. 11, 1936, to which he pens the first few notes of an unidentified piece. In overall fine condition, with traces of adhesive to edges and neatly typed collector’s notations, small punch holes to left margin. R&R COA.
