TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.25, November 6, 1949. A letter to author and editor [Stefan] Schimanski. In part: “I expect to be in Los Angeles on the evening of Monday, September twelfth, and to stay there for a night or two.” He then goes on to give detailed driving directions to his home in Wrightwood, California, adding, “I have no phone here and telegrams are delivered by mail and so may be regarded merely as a rather poor joke…. If you can’t manage the meeting in town, and if you can manage to get transportation, we shall be delighted to see you for a late lunch any day during your stay.” Huxley has also corrected his rather poor typing with numerous notations and additions in ink. In fine condition, with light toning and soiling, mailing folds, and wear and small tears to edges which can be easily matted out. R&R COA.
