Personal check, 6.25 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Grissom, payable to Longs Sport Shop for $23.69, March 28, 1961. Grissom flew America’s second manned space mission in July of the same year. His capsule, the Liberty Bell 7, capsized soon after splashdown and remained lost until its recovery and restoration in 1999.
