Description

Otherwise occupied, Wells agrees to a loan: “I can’t write anything special...but you can take the passage about Peter [?] being shot down if that will serve.”

ALS, one page, 7 x 9, East Glebe, Dunmow, no date. A letter “To my dear Palmer.” In part: “I can’t write anything special for Austin [?] because I am too busy, but you can take the passage about Peter [?] being shot down in his balloon if that will serve.” Ink has faded slightly, otherwise fine condition. Here, Wells appears to refer to a scene from War In The Air (1908). R&R COA.
