George III signed document

King of Great Britain and Ireland (1760–1820) and of Hanover (1815–1820). His government's policies fed American colonial discontent, leading to revolution in 1776. Partly printed DS, signed “George R,” one page, 8.25 x 13, September 11, 1805. In part: “George the Third, by the Grace of God…to our truly and well beloved Joseph Dickinson…We do appoint you to be in a company of the Association of the Inhabitants of the Parish of [?] in the county of Stafford, for the Protection thereof, but not to take Rank in our army, nor the paid association to be subject to military discipline or to serve our of the said parish except of their own accord. Given at the Court of St. James’s…” In fine condition, with typical edge toning. R&R COA.
