Bette Davis writes to a journalist in Bangor: “It became a second home to me..I always ‘cleaned the cellar’ too much.”

ALS, one page, 5.75 x 7.75, personal letterhead, no date, with the postmark indicating a date of October 1982. In part: “I adore your article. It made me so homesick! I have visited so often in Bangor with the Eaton Tarbells. It became a second home to me…I always ‘cleaned the cellar’ too much.” Davis adds a sketched “happy face” at the conclusion. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope (in another hand). In fine condition. R&R COA.
