Exceptional vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, a 1936 Paramount publicity shot showing a dapper, seated Fields with a cigar and cane, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Arthur Christiansen, with my best—W. C. Fields.” The original recipient was likely the prominent British journalist and editor Arthur Christiansen, who himself would later play small roles in a handful of films.
