LS, one page, 8 x 10, Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute letterhead, October 5, 1905. A fund-rasing appeal to Mr. V. E. Wyman. In part: “Our students pay their board partly in work and partly in cash, but they are wholly unable in addition to pay the cost of teaching which is Fifty Dollars per year for each one. If you can help us in any measure, however small, to meet the cost of tuition we shall be very grateful.” Double matted and framed with a photo to an overall size of 23 x 20. In fine condition, with mild toning and usual folds, two touching signature. R&R COA.
