ALS, four pages, 6 x 9, September 30, 1981. Lengthy letter to a collector/dealer. In part: “I guess I should introduce myself first. My name is George R. Caron and I was the tail gunner on the B-29, Enola Gay…As usual, the enlisted men have been out in the cold, except for an occasional ‘peanut.’ I still work for a living, raised a family, and could use a few extra dollars. I have some items which I’d be willing to part with that may be of value to the right collector…bills signed by the crew of the Bocks Car…other items from the mission which may be of value….” In fine condition. R&R COA.
