Description

King writes about what would become his epic masterpiece and his most popular series: “The Dark Tower was done as a limited edition because it was a story with limited appeal...the story may not be exactly what you have come to expect from me.”

TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, June 1, 1982. A letter to a fan. In part: “Thanks for your letter concerning The Dark Tower. Since Pet Sematary was published, I have been deluged with questions, comments and also quite a few brickbats about this little book. I have given the go ahead to print another 10,000 copies…The Dark Tower was done as a limited edition because it was a story with limited appeal. It is really only the long opening section of a much longer work that is still in progress. I am only telling you this because the story may not be exactly what you have come to expect from me.” Several folds, with a vertical one through a letter of the signature, couple of edge nicks, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
