The creator of The Twilight Zone blasts the presentation of movies on TV: “The slicing, truncating and deletions that take place ... absolutely [distort] the value and quality of the motion picture”

TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, January 20, 1966. A superb, scathing letter addressed “To Whom It May Concern.” In part: “Some twenty years of professional experience dictates the following position as regards the current form of feature length motion picture presentations on television. The wholesale and indiscriminate cutting of said films in order to arbitrarily permit commercials is in almost every case injurious to the continuity and clarity of the story lines.” Accompanied by an unsigned photo. In fine condition, with mild handling wear, usual mailing folds, and file holes to top edge. R&R COA.
