Free of the presidency, Taft sets his own schedule, “I have made so many engagements from now up to the time of the Commencement of Yale University, on the 17th of June.”

TLS signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 6 x 7, personal letterhead, January 6, 1914. Taft declines a speaking invitation. In part, “I have made so many engagements from now up to the time of the Commencement of Yale University, on the 17th of June, that I don’t see how I could add another one to my program.” Double matted and framed with an engraved portrait of Taft, to an overall size of 20 x 14. In fine condition, with expected mailing folds. R&R COA.
