Official Reach American League baseball signed in ink by twenty-seven players, including the 1931 Detroit Tigers and three members of the Cleveland Indians, including a total of four Hall of Famers. Highlight signature on the ball is that of Roger Bresnahan (6/10), who was a Toledo-born catcher known as “the Duke of Tralee.” After tiring of bruised shins from foul balls and cuts from baserunners’ spikes, he introduced shin guards after getting the idea from a cricket match. He was the first catcher to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and passed away in 1944. The three remaining Hall of Famers on the ball are Waite Hoyt, Bucky Harris, and Charlie Gehringer. Other signers include: Earl Whitehill, John Grabowski (1927 Yankee team member who was killed in a fire in 1946), John Stone, Tom Bridges, Whitlow Wyatt, George Quellich, Roy Johnson, Luke Sewell, Willie Kamm, Jimmie Duggan, Chas Sullivan, Vic Sorrell, Bill Akers, Frank Doljack, Mark Koenig, Art Herring, Ray Hayworth, Gerald Walker, Tom Bridges, Wally Schang, Marv Owen, Marty McManus, Hubby Walker and Wes Ferrell. In very good condition, with signatures light, but legible, an even shade of light overall toning to ball and ball rating a 3-7 out of 10. COA PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
