Handwritten telegram draft, signed “Nancy & Ronald Reagan,” on a yellow 8 x 10.5 lined sheet. Reagan addresses the telegram to “Tommy Noonan, Motion Picture Country Home, Woodland Hills, Calif,” and writes, “I’ve just learned of your ill health and want you to know how sorry we are. You are in our thoughts and prayers and we wish you the very best of everything.” Also bears a date of December 20, 1967, written in another hand. With a solid background in comedy and burlesque, Noonan hooked up with straight man Peter Marshall to form the 50s comedy duo of "Noonan & Marshall," appearing to a modicum of success in clubs and on TV, including The Ed Sullivan Show. Noonan also held his own as Marilyn Monroe's smitten schmuck of a boyfriend in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Judy Garland's blunt, piano-playing pal in A Star Is Born. In fine condition, with a few light creases. R&R COA.
