In January 1953 Niagara was released, and Marilyn became a star; Gentlemen Prefer Blondes was released in 1953 and in June of that year, Marilyn and co-star Jane Russell left their prints outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre; in October 1953, Marilyn signed a recording contract with RCA; and on November 4, 1953, How to Marry a Millionaire premiered.
