German general who took part in the invasions of Poland, France, and Russia during World War II and who was the Commander-in-Chief of the western front from 1942 to 1945. Lot of five war-dated ALSs in German, each to his wife, including three on postcards bearing printed Third Reich postage with an image of Hitler.
