A letter from royal son to royal father, in full (translated): “I ask wholly obediently for furlough to Kiel on the 20th and 21st to participate in the regatta.” The Kaiser pencils an affirmative reply at lower left: “In the order tomorrow.” Accompanied by several pages of historical and genealogical information.
