Description

Baseball HOFer. During his 21-year career as a second baseman (1896–1916), mostly with the Cleveland Indians, he posted a lifetime batting average of .339. In 1901, he batted .422, highest ever in a season in the American League. He was elected to baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1937. Vintage fountain pen signature, “Larry Lajoie,” on an off-white 5.5 x 3.25 card, dated May 31, 1944. In fine condition, with light postmark to top and a slight crease to top edge.
