Illustrator best known for his work in Uncle Remus. ALS signed “F.S. Church,” one page, 5.75 x 8, Carnegie Hall, NY letterhead, July 15, 1912. In part: “I enclose a photo and NY Herald of a painting now at Knordless[?] The cut does not tell the story well. It’s a spring landscape with a flurry of snow…of the wooden Christ a flock of Blue Birds symbol of happiness.” At the top of the page Church has drawn a Cherub with a small bearing sitting in front of him and small bird saying “Fine.” In fine condition, with toning to edges. Lovely! R&R COA.
