DS, 43 pages, 8.5 x 13, May 28, 1945. Three-picture deal between Sinatra and RKO Radio Pictures wherein Sinatra agrees to perform three future photoplays. The agreement references his commitment to Lucky Strike radio broadcasts. Fees noted are $25,000 for the picture “provided for in Article 2,” “$35,000 in connection with each picture provided for in subdivision b of article 3” and so on. The contract also notes that Sinatra will receive feature billing for all pictures; Sinatra grants the Corporation the right to “dub” his performance; revise the pictures in any manner; and he assigns publicity rights. Additionally, Sinatra authorizes the Motion Picture Relief Fund as his attorney-in-fact, etc. Very boldly signed on page 43 of the agreement. In fine condition, with usual punch and staple holes to top, scattered light creasing and expected age toning and edge wear. Higher and Higher (1943) was the first RKO picture for Sinatra of the above-referenced RKO deal. However, Louis B. Mayer was a fan of Sinatra's (his rendition of Ol' Man River moved him to tears). Mayer contacted RKO and bought out Sinatra's RKO contract in order to bring him to MGM. COA PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
