TLS signed “Phil ‘Scooter’ Rizzuto,” one page, 8.5 x 11, New York Yankees letterhead, no date. Rizzuto gives an account of his glory days as a Yankee. In part: "I was very lucky to spend my entire playing career with the New York Yankees from 1941 through 1956. My rookie season was quite memorable…we went on to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers in the World Series four games to one, Holy Cow! 1950 was a very special year for me. I was in a slump and Johnny Mize offered me the use of his bat…I went on to get 200 hits with that bat…and win the Most Valuable Player award.
