Lot of two items: third-person note in Bryant’s hand, accepting an invitation, signed in the text, “Mr. Bryant”; and a violet ink signature, “William Cullen Bryant, July 14th, 1874,” on a lined 4.5 x 7 sheet. Accompanied by an unsigned nineteenth-century engraving. In fine condition, with usual folds (away from writing) and faint scattered foxing and soiling to note, and irregular left edge and folds to signed sheet, well away from signature. R&R COA.
