Official Spalding baseball signed in fountain pen on the sweet spot, “Babe Ruth.” Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient stating “I personally was able to have Babe Ruth sign this ball while he attended a Spring Training game at Al Lang Field in St. Petersburg, FL in the early ‘40s…I had towed a friend of mine on my bicycle that day and I told him I was going back home to get a couple balls for him to sign…I was let inside the stands and was shown where Babe Ruth was sitting…I walked down the aisle and asked Babe Ruth if he would sign both balls. He acknowledged me and said he would be glad to. I thanked him and walked away.” In very good condition, with light overall haloing to signature, a couple shades of mild toning to ball, a couple scuff marks to side panels and light overall crazing to protective finish applied to ball.
