Official Reach American League baseball signed in ink on the sweet spot, “Lou Gehrig.” This was originally a Yankees team ball from circa 1938-39. All other signatures but Gehrig’s were removed from the ball, most likely with sandpaper, which was then cleaned up and covered with a coat of protective shellac. In very good condition, with signature some what light, but very legible, some scattered light spotting to side panels, light overall patina from shellac and the aforementioned “adjustments” made by a previous owner.
