Lot of twelve original pencil sketches by Dorothea Ahrens, a WWII illustrator and news correspondent, each on a separate 11 x 14.5 off-white sheet. Each sketch is signed by the respective actor sketched, with most adding inscriptions as well. Signers are: Fredric March, Melvyn Douglas, Paul and Virginia Gilmore, Gene Lockhart, Neil Fitzgerald, Warner Baxter, Joe McCrea, Richard Dix, Reginald Denny, Helmut Dantine (2) and Stuart Irwin. In fine condition, with some scattered light soiling and some tears and creases to Dix’s sketch. R&R COA.
