Associate justice of the US Supreme Court, 1916–39. Brandeis was known for his devotion to free speech and was called “The People’s Attorney.” Very nice vintage 9 x 11 engraved seated portrait of Brandeis looking at a paper, signed in the lower border in fountain pen, “Louis D.
