Jackie pays tribute to a Russian author, “At least she received great recognition in her last year. With such a spirit, such courage, she certainly deserved that.”

ALS signed “Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis,” one page both sides, 5.75 x 4, personal letterhead, no date. Letter of condolences sent to a friend. In part, “Thank you for sending me the obituary of Nina Berberova…At least she received great recognition in her last year. With such a spirit, such courage, she certainly deserved that.” Berberova was a Russian-born émigré writer, biographer, editor, and translator known for her examination of the plight of exiles.
